NAPA COUNTY, CA (November 2, 2021) — Steven Bamford and Donna Bamford suffered moderate to major injuries in a motorcycle accident on Silverado Trail near Yountville Cross Road.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the motorcycle crash happened Friday around 2:27 p.m. For unknown reasons, 20-year-old Melanie Navarro pulled from the northbound shoulder of Silverado Trail, intending to make a U-turn. However, she had failed to yield to an oncoming northbound Harley-Davidson Road Glide.
 
As a result, 64-year-old Steven Bamford tried laying down his motorcycle to the left to avoid the impending accident. However, he and 67-year-old Donna Bamford were thrown from the motorcycle, which consequently struck the left side of Navarro’s 2017 Tesla Model S.
 
Soon after, paramedics responded and transported the Bamfords to Providence Queen of the Valley Medical Center with moderate to major injuries.
