2 Die in Single-Car Crash on Port Chicago Highway

CONCORD, CA (November 2, 2021) — Two people died in a solo-car accident on Port Chicago Highway near High School Avenue Monday morning.
 
According to a report from the police, the single-vehicle crash happened around 1:45 a.m. For unknown reasons, a driver allowed his vehicle to career off the road and crash into a light pole.
 
As a result, a 51-year-old female passenger in the car died at the scene.
 
Paramedics brought the 37-year-old male driver to a hospital with major injuries. However, the man succumbed to his wounds not long after.
