OXNARD, CA(March 31, 2023) — Several people were injured and arrested after a stolen car pursuit resulted in a crash at 5th Street and Rose Avenue.
 
According to Oxnard Police Department, the incident first happened around 7:40 p.m. Wednesday. Patrol officers reportedly spotted a stolen vehicle near Rose and Emerson Avenue. Just moments prior, several people stole the car in a robbery involving a firearm in the 200 block of Everest Street.
 
When the driver did not comply, the vehicle fled the scene, leading police on a brief police chase. Under unclear circumstances, the car crashed into several vehicles and a fence, causing a possible diesel fuel spill.
 
Police responded and arrested several adult and juvenile males and found a loaded handgun at the scene.
