Pickup Truck Hits Semi Truck on West 8th Street in Chico Sending Two People to Hospital

 
CHICO, CA (March 31, 2023) – Two people were hospitalized after a semi truck accident at West 8th Street and Salem Street in Chico on Thursday afternoon.
 
The accident happened just before 2:15 p.m. on March 30. According to the Chico Police Department, the semi truck was trying to cross West 8th Street from Salem Street when it was hit by a pickup truck.
 
As a result of the crash, two people were rushed to the hospital for treatment of unspecified injuries.
 
Crews closed the intersection for about an hour while they cleared the wreckage.
 
Police are still investigating the circumstances surrounding the accident.
