Woman Killed, Ronald Quispe Arrested after Long Beach Hit-and-Run

 
LONG BEACH, CA (December 11, 2023) – A woman died in a hit-and-run pedestrian accident on Atlantic Avenue, Saturday evening.
 
According to the Long Beach Police Department, the incident happened on December 9, at about 5:25 p.m. Due to unknown circumstances, a southbound vehicle struck the victim in the 2700 block of Atlantic Avenue.
 
Emergency crews attempted life-saving measures, but the victim later died at the scene. Authorities withheld the identity of the victim, pending notification of next of kin.
 
As per reports, the driver of the vehicle initially left the area. However, he later returned and cooperated with the investigation.
 
Officers arrested the driver, identified as 32-year-old Ronald Quispe of Long Beach, on suspicion of felony hit-and-run.
