Rider Dies in Santa Clarita Motorcycle Crash on Highway 14

 
SANTA CLARITA, CA (May 23, 2021) — A rider died in a motorcycle accident on Highway 14 near Newhall Avenue Thursday evening.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal crash happened around 6:50 p.m. Under unclear circumstances, a motorcycle collided with a big rig. Due to the impact, the motorcyclist was ejected from the bike and had suffered grave injuries.
 
Soon after, emergency personnel responded to the scene to tend to the victim. Unfortunately, they pronounced the rider deceased on arrival.
 
Commuters faced heavy traffic following the accident until 8:30 p.m.
 
At this time, authorities have not confirmed the ultimate cause of the crash. However, any witnesses willing to help the CHP should contact the department.
