Sedan Hits Rialto Motorcycle Officer on 15 Freeway near Oak Hill Road Exit

 
CAJON PASS, CA (August 15, 2023) – A Rialto police motorcycle officer was airlifted after being struck by a sedan on 15 Freeway at the top of the Cajon Pass area.
 
The crash happened early Saturday morning around 1:14 p.m. on August 12, just after the Oak Hill Road exit. According to the CHP, a blue Honda Accord hit the motor officer in unclear circumstances.
 
Rescue crews from San Bernardino County Fire Department requested a medical helicopter to transport the motor officer from the scene.
 
The officer was treated at Arrowhead Regional Medical Center in an unknown condition.
 
During the traffic backup, four more vehicles, two white sedans, a black Jeep Cherokee and a gray Toyota sedan collided. All sustained minor to major damage.
 
The California Highway Patrol Inland Office is handling the investigation.
