Ramiro Trevino Dies in Car Crash with Tree on Highway 99 near Woodland Avenue

 
MODESTO, CA (July 7, 2023)— Ramiro Trevino died in a car accident, hitting a tree, on Highway 99 near Woodland Avenue.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the deadly single-car crash happened around 6:00 a.m. Sunday.
 
For unclear reasons, 21-year-old Ramiro R. Lopez Trevino lost control of his 2002 Volvo S20. As a result, his Volvo traveled from the fast lane, across all northbound lanes, and veered onto the shoulder before hitting a tree.
 
Trevino, although wearing his seatbelt at the time, passed away in the car crash. Authorities do not know if alcohol or drugs played a part. However, a preliminary report indicated that he was racing a car when the collision happened. If anyone has more to add to this accident, please call the CHP office in Modesto.
