Pedestrian Nicholas Country Fatally Struck by Train in Westlake Area

 
WESTLAKE, CA (May 18, 2021) – A pedestrian died in a train accident on South Alvarado Street in the Westlake area of Los Angeles Wednesday morning.
 
Around 10:45 a.m. on May 12, the Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics responded to the 600 block of South Alvarado Street. After that, they located the pedestrian underneath the Metro train.
 
53-year-old Nicholas Country of Los Angeles died at a hospital, according to the Los Angeles County coroner’s office and the LAFD.
 
Some delays were reported in the area involving Metro B and D Line trains. At the same time, police conducted an investigation into the circumstances of the death.
