Luis Gonzalez Arrested after Fatal DUI Accident on Trimble Road and Zanker Road

 
SAN JOSE, CA (May 13, 2021) — Authorities arrested 21-year-old Luis Anthony Gonzalez, of San Jose, after a DUI crash on Tuesday, May 11.
 
According to police, they received reports of the incident on Trimble Road and Zanker Road at about 7:45 p.m. Tuesday.
 
The initial investigation found out that Gonzales drove a 2016 Toyota Corolla south on Zanker. Then he ran a red light and struck a motorcyclist moving east on Trimble.
 
Police said that the man riding the motorcycle died at the scene. They have not yet released his name pending his formal identification and notification of his next of kin by the Santa Clara County Medical Examiner-Coroner’s Office.
 
After the crash, the Gonzales remained at the scene. Officers later arrested him on suspicion of vehicular manslaughter and felony DUI.
