Pedestrian Suffers Injuries after Struck by Hit-and-Run Driver on King Street in Indio

 
INDIO, CA (June 12, 2023) – A pedestrian suffered injuries in a hit-and-run crash at King Street and Saidy Avenue in Indio on Sunday evening.
 
The crash happened around 9:15 on June 4. According to the Indio Police Department, a vehicle struck the pedestrian and dragged a shopping cart. After striking the victim, the driver fled the scene without rendering aid.
 
First responders found the pedestrian down in the roadway with unspecified injuries.
 
Police said the suspect vehicle is a newer model Toyota Tacoma access cab with black running boards. It should have front-end damage.
