Adrian Llamas-Navarro Dies after Struck by DUI Driver on 10 Freeway in Fontana

 
FONTANA, CA (July 28, 2022) – A man was killed in a pedestrian accident on 10 Freeway in Fontana late Sunday evening, July 24.
 
The fatal accident happened around 11:50 p.m. near Sierra Avenue. According to the California Highway Patrol, a 2008 Buick traveled at an unknown speed on 10 Freeway westbound.
 
The vehicle hit the pedestrian walking within lanes, due to a prior solo vehicle crash on 10 Freeway westbound at Sierra Avenue. Subsequently, a third vehicle collided into the first two vehicles.
 
The pedestrian, identified as 25-year-old Pomona resident Adrian Llamas-Navarro, was pronounced dead on scene, according to the San Bernardino County Sheriff Coroner’s Division.
 
The driver of the Buick was subsequently arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol.
