Bicyclist Paul Moore Dies after Hit by Pickup Truck in Fresno
FRESNO, CA (January 14, 2022) – A man was killed in a bicycle accident near Friant Road and Audubon Drive in north Fresno on Wednesday afternoon.
The Fresno County Sheriff’s Office identified the bicyclist as 61-year-old Paul Moore of Fresno.
The fatal accident happened just after 1:30 p.m. at the intersection of North Friant Road and East Audubon Drive on January 12. According to the Fresno Police Department, Moore was riding a recumbent-style bike when he was hit by someone driving a Dodge Ram pickup truck.
According to detectives, Moore was riding away from Woodward Park when he was hit. Police say he was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the truck stayed and cooperated with police.
Investigators are still investigating the crash. At this time, they have yet to determine if drugs or alcohol played a role in the incident.
