Late Afternoon Pedestrian Crash on Watkins Drive in Sacramento Turns Deadly

 
SACRAMENTO, CA (October 24, 2022) – One person died in a pedestrian accident on Watkins Drive in East Sacramento late Saturday afternoon on October 22.
 
The fatal accident happened shortly before 5:40 p.m., just west of Sacramento Street. According to the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office, they received a call of a person lying on the road on Watkins Drive.
 
Whey they arrived, they located the pedestrian suffering from fatal injuries and pronounced them dead at the scene.
 
It is unclear if the involved vehicle and driver were on scene.
 
At this time, the identity of the victim was not immediately available. An investigation into this fatality is underway.
