Early Morning Pedestrian Accident on 215 Freeway in San Bernardino Turns Deadly

 
SAN BERNARDINO, CA (September 20, 2022) – One person was killed in a pedestrian accident on 215 Freeway in San Bernardino early Sunday morning, September 18.
 
The fatal accident happened around 12:08 a.m. just south of University Parkway. According to the California Highway Patrol, a vehicle struck the pedestrian who was walking along the northbound lanes of the freeway.
 
First responders immediately rendered aid to the victim. Despite life-saving measures, the pedestrian died at the scene.
 
The San Bernardino County Coroner withheld the victim’s identity at this time.
 
It is unknown if drugs or alcohol was a factor. This fatality is still under investigation.
