Two-Vehicle Accident on Highway 18 in Phelan

 
PHELAN, CA (September 20, 2022) – One person was airlifted after a two-vehicle accident on Highway 18 in Phelan on Saturday morning, September 17.
 
The accident happened around 6:30 a.m. at Johnson Road. According to the CHP, a white four-door vehicle and a four-door sedan collided for unknown reasons.
 
The motor and battery flew out and landed along the roadway from the white four-door vehicle with major front-end damage. The sedan sustained extensive damage on the passenger side.
 
Emergency personnel responded to the scene and requested a helicopter to airlift one person with critical injuries. Two ground ambulances responded for two additional patients with moderate injuries.
 
No other information available at this time. The California Highway Patrol Victorville Station is investigating the accident.
