Driver, Passenger Killed in Solo-Car Crash on Monterey Avenue near Cambridge Avenue

 
LOS GATOS, CA (September 20, 2022) — Two people died in a solo-car accident on Monterey Avenue on Sunday, September 18.
 
According to California Highway Patrol officers, they received reports of the crash at around 6:19 p.m. Sunday. CHP said it happened on private property, East of Monterey Avenue and North of Cambridge Avenue.
 
CHP investigators said an unidentified male drove a Polaris RZR, up a dirt embankment on private property near Los Gatos Creek.
 
According to CHP, for an undetermined reason, the driver unsafely drove the Polaris to the right. Then it subsequently caused it to roll over. Both the driver and passenger did not wear seatbelts during the collision.
 
Both the driver and the passenger died. It is unknown if alcohol and/or drugs contributed to the crash.
