One Killed in Two-Vehicle Accident on Highway 395 at Wran Road [Lassen County, CA]

Head-On Accident on Highway 395 in Lassen County Ends in Fatality

 
LASSEN COUNTY, CA (May 16, 2022) – One person died in a head-on accident on Highway 395 in Lassen County on Sunday morning, May 15.
 
The accident happened around 11:10 a.m. at Wran Road. According to the California Highway Patrol, a white Toyota Highlander and a white Toyota Camry collided head-on at the intersection. One of the vehicles was being driven recklessly at a high rate of speed prior to the crash.
 
When officers arrived, they found one person pinned inside a vehicle with major injuries.
 
Paramedics performed life-saving aid to the parties involved, but one person died at the scene.
 
The identity of the deceased was not immediately available.
 
At this time, it is unknown if drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash. Further investigation is underway.
