Fiery Head-On Accident on Highway 4 near Eugene Area Kills 1 and Injures 3

 
STANISLAUS COUNTY, CA (October 30, 2021) – At least one person died in a fiery head-on accident on Highway 4 near Eugene area of Stanislaus County Saturday night.
 
The accident happened around 6:01 p.m. on October 30, at Milton Road. According to the California Highway Patrol, a black pickup truck collided head-on with a black sedan. One of them made an unsafe passing at a high a rate of speed prior to the crash. The impact caused the sedan to catch fire.
 
When officers arrived, the driver of the sedan was trapped inside the burning car and died at the scene.
 
Three other people suffered unspecified injuries from the crash.
 
At this time, CHP officials are still investigating the fatality to determine the factors involved and liability.
