ALTURAS, CA (October 29, 2022) – One person was killed in an experimental aircraft crash at the Alturas Municipal Airport in Modoc County on Tuesday night.
 
At approximately 6:00 p.m. on October 25, emergency personnel responded to a report of a crash involving an ultralight, an aircraft considered to be experimental, at the airport.
 
The city confirmed there was one fatality in the crash.
 
At this time, authorities withheld the identity of the deceased.
 
No other details available. The Federal Aviation Administration is investigating the crash.
