Crash in Hancock Park Kills Driver and Leaves Passenger in Critical Condition

 
HANCOCK PARK, CA (October 29, 2022)Ruben Gonzalez was killed in a car accident in Hancock Park late Thursday evening, October 27.
 
The fatal accident happened around 11:35 p.m. in the 100 block of South Rossmore Avenue near Beverly Boulevard. According to the Los Angeles Fire Department, Gonzalez was driving a white Mitsubishi when he lost control. The car then sideswiped multiple parked vehicles and then ran into a tree.
 
Gonzalez was trapped in the wreckage and died at the scene. He was 30 years old from Los Angeles. His male passenger was ejected from the vehicle and taken to a regional trauma center in critical condition.
 
Officers said speed was likely a factor in the crash, which is still under investigation.
