Big Rig Accident on 605 Freeway in Irwindale Leaves 1 Dead

 
IRWINDALE, CA (December 21, 2021) – One person was killed in a big rig accident on 605 Freeway in Irwindale Sunday evening.
 
The accident happened a little before 10:00 p.m. on December 19, just south of Arrow Highway. According to the California Highway Patrol, the big rig and another vehicle collided along the southbound lanes of the freeway.
 
Officers responded and confirmed one fatality as a result of the accident. The identity of the victim has been withheld pending notification of next of kin.
 
It is unknown if speed, drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash. Further investigation is underway.
