One Dies after Big Rig Crashes into Stopped Sedan on 10 Freeway in Loma Linda

 
LOMA LINDA, CA (November 8, 2021) – One person was killed in a big rig accident on 10 Freeway in Loma Linda late Friday evening.
 
The accident happened around 10:37 p.m. on November 5 along the westbound freeway just west of Tippecanoe Avenue. According to the California Highway Patrol, a big rig was swerving on the freeway when it struck the sedan that was stopped on the slow lane.
 
The impact sent the big rig down a dirt embankment.
 
Firefighter paramedics responded and pronounced one person dead at the scene. The name, age and hometown of the victim were not immediately available pending notification of next of kin.
 
At this time, it is unknown if speed, drugs or alcohol were factors in the big rig accident on 10 Freeway. Further investigation is underway.
