San Bernardino Police Officer Involved in Motorcycle Accident on Waterman Avenue near 5th Street

 
SAN BERNARDINO, CA (September 20, 2022) – A motorcyclist sustained injuries in an accident involving a San Bernardino Police vehicle on Waterman Avenue on Sunday afternoon.
 
According to the San Bernardino Police Department, the incident happened on September 18 at about 2:30 p.m. An SBPD officer was reportedly responding to a call for service and had the vehicle’s lights and sirens turned on.
 
A short time later, the vehicle collided with a motorcyclist at Waterman Avenue and 5th Street.
 
Emergency crews rushed the motorcyclist to a local hospital for treatment of serious injuries. Authorities did not release the name of the victim.
 
Meanwhile, the police officer did not sustain injuries in the collision.
 
SBPD continues to investigate the cause of the accident. Officers will release additional information once it becomes available.
