Francisco Saldivar Fatally Struck in Bicycle Accident on Highway 43 near Cherry Street

 
SHAFTER, CA (September 20, 2022) — Authorities identified 44-year-old Francisco Saldivar of Shafter as the man who died in a bicycle crash.
 
According to California Highway Patrol, the accident happened on Highway 43 north of Cherry Street on Monday, September 12.
 
Saldivar rode a bicycle on Highway 43 at around 2:00 a.m. Then a vehicle hit him.
 
The coroner said Saldivar died at the scene.
 
There are no reports if speed and/or intoxication played a role in the crash.
 
CHP investigated the incident. There is no further information available.
