Motorcyclist Dies after Struck by Hit-and-Run Sedan on Avenue L in Lancaster

 
LANCASTER, CA (April 19, 2023) – A motorcyclist was killed in a hit-and-run crash at Avenue L and 25th Street West in Lancaster on Monday evening.
 
The fatal crash happened around 9:30 p.m. on April 17. According to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, the motorcyclist was going westbound on Avenue L when the driver of a blue Toyota sedan heading eastbound on Avenue L made a left turn against a red arrow to travel northbound on 25th Street West. The sedan then struck the motorcyclist at the intersection and took off.
 
Paramedics rushed the motorcyclist to a hospital, where the victim succumbed to his injuries.
 
Authorities said the sedan is expected to have significant crash damage to the passenger side.
 
It is unknown at this time if alcohol or drugs played a role in the crash. Anyone with further information is urged to call investigators at 661-948-8466.
