Man on Motorcycle Dies after Colliding with Wedding Bus on Highway 76 in Fallbrook
FALLBROOK, CA (June 13, 2022) – A motorcyclist was killed in a bus accident on Highway 76 in Fallbrook late Saturday evening on June 11.
The accident happened just east of Gird Road. According to the North County Fire Protection District, the wedding party bus was on the side of the road because of a breakdown. The motorcyclist came around the bend and slammed into the back-end of the bus. He then went flying over into the ravine.
First responders found the young man unconscious. They treated him at the scene before securing him in a stokes basket and bringing him up to the road.
Mercy Air then transported the critically injured motorcyclist to a trauma center. Despite life-saving efforts, the motorcyclist succumbed to his injuries at the hospital.
No identification is being released at this time. Further investigation is underway.
