Early Morning Head-On Accident on Barranca Avenue in Covina Sends Six People to Hospital

 
COVINA, CA (June 13, 2022) – Six people were hospitalized in head-on accident at Barranca Avenue and Cypress Street early Sunday morning on June 12.
 
The accident happened around 1:32 a.m. According to a watch commander at the Covina Police Department, one vehicle was traveling northbound on Barranca and another vehicle was heading south. For unknown reasons, the two vehicles collided head-on at the intersection.
 
As a result, six people sustained injuries. Paramedics rushed two of the patients to Pomona Valley Hospital Medical Center and four others to Los Angeles County/USC Medical Center.
 
The conditions of the patients were not immediately available.
 
Police are still investigating the exact cause of the crash and factors involved.
