2 Dead after SUV and Motorcycle Collide on Highway 101 in Humboldt County

 
HUMBOLDT COUNTY, CA (June 14, 2022) — Two people died after an SUV and a motorcycle crashed on Highway 101 near Myers Flat.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal two-vehicle accident happened around 4:45 p.m. on Monday. For unknown reasons, a driver of a Toyota 4Runner and a motorcycle crashed on the highway between Myers Flat and Weott.
 
Tragically, the SUV driver and one of the motorcyclists died in the accident. A second motorcyclist suffered moderate injuries and was taken to a nearby hospital.
 
At this time, investigators have not indicated the leading cause of the crash. However, an ongoing investigation should clarify any details.
