Motorcycle Rider Suffers Possible Broken Leg after Hit by DUI Driver on Petaluma Boulevard

 
PETALUMA, CA (March 18, 2024) – A motorcyclist was injured in a DUI crash on Petaluma Boulevard late Saturday evening on March 16.
 
According to the Petaluma Police Department, a Santa Rosa man was driving an orange Dodge Charger southbound on Petaluma Boulevard when he struck the rear of a motorcycle in the 200 block of Petaluma Boulevard around at 10:54 p.m.
 
The motorcyclist possibly suffered a broken leg as a result of the crash. They were transported to a local hospital for medical treatment.
 
Police said the driver displayed signs of alcohol intoxication and admitted to consuming alcoholic beverages. They arrested him for DUI causing injury and booked him into the Sonoma County Jail.
 
An investigation is underway.
