Two-Vehicle Accident on Norris Road in Oildale Kills 1 Driver

 
OILDALE, CA (January 24, 2022) – A man died in a two-vehicle accident on Norris Road in Oildale on Friday morning.
 
The fatal accident happened a little after 7:00 a.m. on January 21 just west of Airport Drive near Cope’s Knotty Pine Café. According to the California Highway Patrol, the man was driving a Honda westbound at a high rate of speed when he struck a truck attempting to make a U-turn on Norris Road.
 
As a result of the crash, the man suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene. He was not wearing a seat belt.
 
The condition of the other driver was not immediately known.
 
The westbound lane on Norris Road between Pegasus Drive/Roberts Lane and Airport Drive was closed for about three hours for the investigation and clean up.
 
Alcohol or drugs do not appear to be a factor in thi crash.
