Pedestrian Dies after Struck by Vehicle at Sierra and Riverside Avenues

 
FONTANA, CA (January 24, 2022) – Dywane Jeremiah Ward was killed in a pedestrian accident in the far northern area of Fontana, early Wednesday morning.
 
The accident happened around 4:48 a.m. on January 19 at the intersection of Sierra Avenue and Riverside Avenue. According to the Rialto PoIice Department, Ward was walking in the area when a vehicle struck him.
 
Ward suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene. He was a 44-year-old Rialto resident, according to the San Bernardino County Sheriff Coroner’s Division.
 
At this time, it is unknown if drugs or alcohol played a factor in the accident. An investigation is still ongoing.
