Man Dies in Single-Car Crash on Churn Creek Road in Redding

 
REDDING, CA (March 9, 2022) — A man died in a solo-car accident on Churn Creek Road near Hillmonte Drive on Tuesday morning.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal single-car crash happened around 5:49 a.m. For unknown reasons, a 55-year-old man from Cottonwood lost control of his vehicle and crashed his car into a street sign and an electrical utility box on Churn Creek Road.
 
Shortly after, paramedics reached the scene and performed CPR on the victim before rushing him to Mercy Medical Center in Redding.
 
However, despite rendering life-saving efforts, nurses and doctors pronounced him dead moments after.
 
At this time, detectives are exploring whether the victim suffered a possible medical emergency during the accident. Although, if anyone has more information on this accident, please contact the CHP.
