Pedestrian Suffers Life-Threatening Injuries after Hit by Car on Capitol Expressway in San Jose

 
SAN JOSE, CA (March 9, 2022) – One person was seriously injured in a pedestrian accident on Capitol Expressway in San Jose, late Monday afternoon.
 
The fatal accident happened around 5:55 p.m. on March 7 at the intersection with Story Road. According to the San Jose Police Department, the pedestrian was walking in the area when a car struck them.
 
Responding paramedics found the pedestrian with life-threatening injuries. They rushed the victim to a local hospital and later stabilized.
 
Meanwhile, the driver remained on scene and cooperated with police.
 
It is unknown if the pedestrian was inside a crosswalk when the crash occurred. Police are still investigating the accident.
