Motorcyclist Michael Grossman Dies after Rear-Ending Van on Highway 101 in Novato

 
NOVATO, CA (March 9, 2022) – Michael C. Grossman was killed in a motorcycle accident on Highway 101 in Novato on Monday morning.
 
The fatal accident happened around 6:30 a.m. on March 7 near the San Antonio Road off-ramp. According to the California Highway Patrol, Grossman was riding his motorcycle and was splitting lanes when the traffic ahead slowed down suddenly.
 
He then rear-ended a van, then spun around and hit a truck in the slow lane.
 
The impact ejected Grossman from his motorcycle. He suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene. He was a 46-year-old Petaluma resident.
 
CHP officials do not believe drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash. Further investigation is underway.
