Deadly Fresno Pedestrian Accident on Shaw Avenue
FRESNO, CA (February 8, 2021) — A man pushing a wheelchair died on Tuesday, January 19 in a pedestrian accident on West Shaw Avenue near North Brawley Avenue.
According to authorities, the pedestrian accident happened around 8:45 p.m. For unknown reasons, a FAX utility truck driver traveling on West Shaw Avenue struck the pedestrian with the truck’s mirror.
Shortly after, paramedics transported the victim to Community Regional Medical Center in critical condition. However, officials did not release any updates on the victim’s medical status.
Meanwhile, the driver of the FAX commercial vehicle stayed at the scene and cooperated with police investigators.
The following day, the victim, believed to be in his 50s, succumbed to his injuries. His name has not been released, however.
