FRESNO, CA (February 8, 2021) — A man died on Thursday, January 21 in a hit-and-run pedestrian accident on North Cedar Avenue near East Olive Avenue.
 
According to the Fresno Police Department, the fatal accident happened around 6:30 p.m.
 
Police believe the driver struck the man as he tried jaywalking across North Cedar Avenue. Unfortunately, the driver fled the scene, and the 53-year-old died at a nearby hospital.
 
At this point, the crash remains under investigation. However, police are looking for additional information. If anyone can help authorities determine the identity of the driver, please contact police.
