Motorcyclist Dies after Crash with Hit-and-Run Car on Maple Avenue in Fresno

 
FRESNO, CA (May 8, 2023) – A man was killed in a motorcycle hit-and-run crash on Maple Avenue in southeast Fresno Saturday afternoon on May 6.
 
The fatal accident happened around 3:50 p.m. just south of Belmont Avenue. According to the Fresno Police Department, the man was riding his motorcycle at a high rate of speed when he collided with a dark-colored SUV that had made a turn on Maple Avenue.
 
The impact of the crash ejected the man from his bike. He died at the scene. His motorcycle continued to travel down southbound on Maple.
 
Meanwhile, the SUV did not stop after the crash.
 
Crews closed the area near the intersection for a few hours as police continued with their investigation.
