Man Dies in Marin County Motorcycle Accident on Pt. Reyes-Petaluma Road

 
MARIN COUNTY, CA (April 12, 2022) — A man died in a motorcycle crash on Pt. Reyes-Petaluma Road near Hicks Valley Road on Saturday morning.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal motorcycle accident happened around 11:00 a.m. For what officers believe might have been mechanical issues, the 38-year-old man lost control of his 2007 Harley-Davidson Sportster. Subsequently, his westbound motorcycle drove off the road and down a steep embankment.
 
As a result of the crash, the impact ejected him off his bike.
 
Shortly after, CHP and firefighters arrived at the scene to find him on the ground with grave injuries. However, despite having received life-saving efforts, the man succumbed to his injuries.
 
At this time, investigators have not confirmed if alcohol or drugs played a factor in this motorcycle crash. However, an ongoing investigation should confirm these details.
