63-Year-Old Man Dead after Motorcycle Accident on East Mission Road near Via Zancas in Fallbrook

 
FALLBROOK, CA (August 17, 2022) – A 63-year-old man died in a motorcycle accident on East Mission Road on Tuesday afternoon.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident happened on August 16 at about 3:40 p.m. For reasons still under investigation, a red Honda CTX motorcycle lost control and entered an oncoming traffic lane.
 
Then, the rider was ejected and hit by a white Mercedes C250 near Via Zancas.
 
Emergency crews transported the motorcyclist to a local hospital, where he later died. Authorities withheld the identity of the victim, pending notification of next of kin.
 
Meanwhile, the driver of the Mercedes remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators.
