Fatal Motorcycle Accident on Bear Valley Road in Victorville

 
VICTORVILLE, CA (March 4, 2021) – A man died Tuesday afternoon in a motorcycle accident at Bear Valley Road and Hesperia Road.
 
According to the Victorville Police Department, the accident happened around 4:10 p.m. on March 2.
 
A witness told police that the motorcycle was going westbound on Bear Valley Road. The rider tried to beat the red light at high speed when he collided with the driver side of a silver Toyota Yaris that was heading south on Hesperia Road.
 
The impact ejected the rider at least 10 feet and slid under a truck stopped at the light.
 
A Good Samaritan performed CPR on the rider until first responders arrived and took over. The unresponsive rider was rushed in an ambulance to Desert Valley Hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
 
Officials closed the intersection of Bear Valley Road and Hesperia Road for several hours as they investigated the incident.
 
No other injuries were reported and the driver of the Toyota remained at the scene to cooperate with officers.
