RIDGEVIEW-WEBSTER, CA (August 8, 2023) – A 25-year-old man was injured in a motorcycle accident on Home Avenue in the Ridgeview-Webster neighborhood on Friday evening.

According to the San Diego Police Department, officers responded to the 4500 block of Home Avenue around 10:18 p.m. on August 4. When they arrived, they determined that the victim was riding a 2017 Yamaha motorcycle eastbound when a 46-year-old woman driving a 2011 Hyundai Tucson stopped in the bicycle lane facing east along the south curb.

The woman then made a U-turn in front of the motorcyclist, who hit the car’s driver’s side front fender.

Paramedics took the man to a hospital with multiple fractures and cuts on his ankle. His injuries are considered non-life threatening.

Police said DUI was not a factor in the crash, which is still under investigation. They asked anyone with further information to call 858-495-7800 or Crime Stoppers at 888-580-8477.
