SAN DIEGO, CA (November 7, 2022) — A man was injured in a motorcycle accident on 70th Street at Mohawk Street on Sunday night.

According to the San Diego Police, the motorcycle crash happened around 9:05 p.m. in the Rolando neighborhood of San Diego. For unknown reasons, a 24-year-old woman driving a southbound 2017 Toyota Corolla made a left turn onto Mohawk Street in front of a northbound 2017 Triumph motorcycle.

As a result, both vehicles collided, causing the 36-year-old motorcyclist to suffer a fractured right leg.

After the accident, paramedics and police responded and found the 62-year-old female Toyota driver with pain in her head.

At this time, investigators have ruled out alcohol as an explanation for the accident. Although, if anyone has more information, please call San Diego police Officer Robert Heims.

Take care when you see a motorcycle rider. It can be often difficult to read their speed, but when in doubt, slow down or yield. Rushing results in risky situations.
