VICTORVILLE, CA (November 7, 2022) — A pedestrian was hit and injured by a car on Bear Valley Road near Cottonwood Avenue late Saturday.
 
According to reports, the pedestrian accident happened around 11:46 p.m. Under unclear circumstances, a driver of an unknown make and model struck a person between Cottonwood Avenue and Locust Avenue.
 
Soon after, the Victorville Fire Department arrived at the scene and requested a helicopter to land at Desert Valley Hospital to airlift the victim to Loma Linda University Medical Center.
 
Due to the investigation, San Bernardino County sheriff’s deputies and Victorville Police had to shut down the area. At this time, it is unclear what happened in the accident. However, investigators found a bike and shattered glass at the scene, leading them to connect this to a hit-and-run.
