BAKERSFIELD, CA (May 21, 2021) — A man was injured in a hit-and-run scooter accident at California Avenue and King Street Tuesday evening.
 
According to the Bakersfield Police, the accident happened around 6:40 p.m. Upon arrival, officers found a man in the street with moderate to major injuries.
 
Under unclear circumstances, a driver in a light blue Nissan Versa had attempted a left-hand turn at the intersection. Subsequently, the driver collided with the man on the scooter but fled the scene.
