Hit-and-Run Driver Wanted after Pedestrian Accident on Highway 94 near Bancroft Drive

 
CASA DE ORO, CA (May 20, 2021) – A 74-year-old man sustained injuries in a pedestrian hit-and-run accident on Highway 94, Wednesday morning.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident happened at about 5:50 a.m. The victim was walking across an on-ramp when a vehicle hit him near Bancroft Drive.
 
Emergency crews then rushed the pedestrian to Sharp Memorial Hospital in San Diego for treatment of major injuries. Authorities did not release the name of the victim.
 
As per reports, the driver of the vehicle did not stop to render aid and later fled the area.
 
CHP continues to investigate the cause of the accident. Investigators ask witnesses to call Officer Wellington Barger at the CHP’s El Cajon office at (619) 401-2000.
 
Do not leave the scene of a pedestrian accident. Pull your vehicle to the side of the road and render aid to injured victims. Also, call for medical help if anyone sustained serious injuries.
