Man Hurt in 2-Car Crash at Highridge Street in Riverside
RIVERSIDE, CA (May 5, 2023) — A man was injured in a 2-car accident at Highridge Street and Washington Street.
According to the Riverside Police Department, the two-car crash happened around 10:00 a.m. Monday. For an unknown reason, a man driving a westbound Ford F-150 did not stop at a stop sign. The Ford entered the intersection and was hit by a northbound 2011 Ford Edge, driven by an 85-year-old Riverside woman.
Due to the impact, the Ford F-150 continued in a southbound direction and overturned as it left the road.
Minutes later, paramedics arrived and took the F-150 driver to a Riverside hospital with major injuries. The 85-year-old woman operating the Ford Edge, although assisted at the scene, did not require further attention.
It is unclear what led to the accident, including DUI, but an ongoing investigation should confirm these details.
