Woman Killed in 2-Car Accident on Highway 101 in Castroville

 
CASTROVILLE, CA (May 5, 2023) — A woman died in a 2-car crash on Highway 101 near Highway 183.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal two-vehicle collision happened around 5:28 p.m. Tuesday. For reasons that require further investigations, a 35-year-old woman driving a southbound 2016 Cadillac made an unsafe turning movement. As a result, her vehicle careered to the left and entered the northbound lane where it crashed into a northbound 2021 RAM truck.
 
The woman suffered major internal injuries. After being transported to Natividad Medical Center for treatment, she succumbed to her injuries.
 
Reports did not say if the driver of the RAM, a 50-year-old man from Watsonville, reported any injuries.
 
Authorities do not know what led to the accident, including if DUI played a factor. If anyone has seen this crash, please contact the authorities.
