Man Killed in Pedestrian Crash on Pacific Avenue in Long Beach

 
LONG BEACH, CA (September 11, 2023) — A man died in a pedestrian accident on Pacific Avenue near 23rd Street.
 
According to the Long Beach Police, the fatal pedestrian crash happened around 10:39 p.m. Thursday. For an unknown reason, a driver of a southbound 2016 Dodge Charger could not stop in time before a pedestrian. Subsequently, the Dodge struck the man crossing westbound outside a marked crosswalk.
 
As a result of the accident, the pedestrian suffered fatal injuries. The driver, a Long Beach resident, pulled over and called police officers.
