Child Dies in Fiery Car Crash at Duarte Road in Monrovia

 
MONROVIA, CA (September 11, 2023) — A child died in a fiery car accident at Duarte Road and Fifth Avenue.
 
According to the Monrovia Police Department, the fatal fiery accident happened around 7:35 p.m. Friday. For an unknown reason, a driver lost control and struck parked vehicles and a tree before bursting into flames.
 
Moments later, firefighters arrived at the scene to extinguish the fire. Once they put it out, firefighters searched the vehicle to find at least two people in the car, including a child.
 
The unidentified child, whose age and gender were unclear, died in the crash. Paramedics took all others to Los Angeles General Medical Center.
